Your mission

You will provide essential support to the editorial and commercial teams in various aspects of content creation, production, and administrative tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the editorial process and commercial admin, and contribute to the overall success of the publication
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Content Coordination: Assist editors in coordinating and managing the editorial calendar, including scheduling, assigning, and tracking article deadlines. Communicate with contributors, freelancers, and internal team members to ensure timely submission of content.
• Research: Conduct research on assigned topics, gather relevant information, and compile resources to support writers and editors in the content creation process. Verify facts, statistics, and other details to ensure accuracy and credibility.
• Writing and Editing: Draft and edit basic editorial content such as news briefs, event listings, or website copy under the guidance of senior editors. Assist with proofreading, fact-checking, and formatting articles for publication.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the editorial and commercial teams, including managing email correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining editorial databases and files. Assist with invoice processing, budget tracking, and other administrative tasks as needed. The commercial team will need help with billing, IOs and general invoicing admin. Manage team working and holiday schedules
• Finance: manage all financial requirements for commercial & editorial, ISF, PO numbers, IO’s, Commercial finance reports, contract management. Point of contact for the finance team
• Content Production: Assist with the production of print and digital content, including formatting articles, sourcing images, and coordinating with designers and layout artists to ensure accurate and visually appealing presentation.
• Social Media Management: Assist in managing the publication's social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments or inquiries. Contribute ideas for social media content and promotions to increase audience engagement.
• Reader Engagement: Monitor reader feedback, comments, and inquiries across various channels (email, social media, website) and escalate issues or concerns to the appropriate team members for resolution. Help maintain positive relationships with readers and subscribers.
• Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in content strategy, audience engagement, and distribution channels.
Your profile
• A passion for journalism, storytelling, and staying informed about current events and trends.
Experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital publishing tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high editorial standards.
Qualifications
• Degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role, such as editorial internships or assistant positions, is preferred but not required.
