Social Media Video Producer (fixed term contract)

This is a fixed term position working five days per week from 2pm to 10pm, supporting HELLO!’s evening social coverage.

We are looking for a creative, digitally savvy Social Media Video Producer (Freelance) to join the HELLO! editorial team. This role will play a key part in creating engaging, social-first content across HELLO!’s platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Pinterest.

You will be responsible for identifying emerging trends, producing compelling short-form video and translating celebrity, lifestyle and entertainment stories into highly engaging social content. The role requires someone confident both behind and in front of the camera, able to capture exclusive moments at events, red carpets and interviews while turning them into shareable, platform-native content.

Working closely with editors, reporters and the wider social team, you will help grow HELLO!’s digital reach by producing viral-ready content that reflects our positive, celebratory and highly visual storytelling style.

Social Content Creation
Create engaging, social-first content across HELLO!’s social platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Pinterest.

Short-Form Video Production
Plan, film, edit and publish short-form video content that captures celebrity, lifestyle and entertainment moments in an engaging and shareable way.

Snapchat Content
Support and develop HELLO!’s Snapchat presence by producing creative, platform-native content that resonates with younger audiences.

On-Camera Storytelling
Feel comfortable presenting, interviewing and capturing behind-the-scenes moments at events, red carpets and exclusive celebrity moments.

Trend Identification
Stay ahead of emerging social media trends, viral formats and storytelling techniques, identifying opportunities before they reach the mainstream.

Editorial Collaboration
Work closely with HELLO!’s editorial team to translate key stories into compelling social content and support wider editorial priorities.

Audience Engagement
Use performance insights and analytics to understand what resonates with audiences and continuously optimise content to maximise engagement and reach.

Creative Instinct
Strong understanding of what makes engaging, shareable and viral social content.

Platform Knowledge
Deep familiarity with social media platforms including Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Pinterest.

On-Camera Confidence
Comfortable presenting, interviewing and appearing in social video when required.

Editorial Mindset
Strong news judgement and an understanding of celebrity, entertainment and lifestyle storytelling.

Social Media Expertise
Experience creating and publishing social-first content across multiple platforms.

Video Production
Strong filming and editing skills with a good eye for visual storytelling and pacing.

Editorial or Media Environment
Experience working in digital publishing, media, entertainment or a newsroom environment is highly desirable.

Trend Awareness
Demonstrated ability to spot social media trends early and translate them into engaging content.
